GreenStream’s award winning intermediary team offers brokering and portfolio management services covering environmental products in the carbon emission and renewable energy market.
For the Carbon Market intermediary services can be offered for the following products:
- EU Emissions Allowances (EUAs): spot, forward, options, other derivatives such as CER – EUA swaps
- Certified Emission Reduction (CERs): spot, forward, options
- Emission Reduction Units (ERUs): forwards
- Voluntary Emission Reductions (VERs): spot, forward, options
GreenStream provides fast and cost efficient access to carbon markets via specialised exchanges BlueNext, ClimeX). Alternatively our large client network allows us to structure more complex OTC transactions.
For Green Certificate Market (1) intermediary services can be offered for the following products:
- Guarantees of Origin (GO): spot, forward, options
- Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs): spot, forward, options
- Other green certificate products such as Levy Exemption Certificates (LECs), TÜV Certificates (TÜV EE+ Generation)
(1) Brokered products may include transfer of physical underlying electricity.
In 2001 the intermediary teams started with European activities in green certificate markets and since then we successfully realised market opportunities for our clients across Europe in changing market conditions. We have strong business links with other operations of GreenStream, in particular with the market analyses teams and the carbon cycle management team where we provide a hub to the market for emission reduction projects.
We also enjoy to analyse on the utilisation of the environment value of your green or carbon investments and to discuss the management of those portfolios in line with a defined trading strategy, whether it is for compliance purposes or for realising a fair value on the market.
