GreenStream wins EBAE award for innovative growth strategy in China

GreenStream Network Plc was selected as the winner of the Finnish national competition for The European Business Awards for the Environment in the category International Co-Operation for its innovative growth strategy proposal “Expanding Climate Knowledge in China: A Co-Operative Business Approach”. The award was given to GreenStream management by the Finnish Minister of Environment Ville Niinistö.
 
GreenStream Network, in co-operation with the Beijing based Juno Capital Group, has created a joint venture that develops greenhouse gas reduction projects throughout China. As indicated on the map below, the current Project porfolio consists of over 60 projects, most of them in renewable energy sector, with total estimated emissions reduction exceeding 50 million tons (equivalent to the annual emissions of Finland).
Dr Jussi Nykänen noted that this success has been built on the expertises of GreenStream’s staff and the network of Juno Capital Group: “The key to this very successful international co-operation has been building a long-term relationship with our partner that enable us to combine GreenStream’s technical knowledge, the motivated and skilled China team and the local know-how of Juno.” GreenStream is pleased to note that joint venture is now expanding into other environmental sectors within China such as ESCO projects and incubating CleanTech transfer.
